This session explores the TM65 methodology, a game-changing framework for assessing embodied carbon in building services engineering systems. Attendees will gain insights into calculating the greenhouse gas emissions tied to product manufacture, maintenance, and end-of-life, while also learning how to leverage Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) or estimate emissions when EPDs are unavailable. By embracing TM65, the industry can align on evaluating embodied carbon emissions, feed data back to CIBSE, and contribute to developing a robust embodied carbon database for smarter, greener design.
