This session will provide attendees with the bigger picture of the regulatory changes that may impact them as an architect or practice. There are wider obligations that should be understood for context, especially where there are duties and competence requirements in provisions that may impact them as a designer and principal designer. The post-Grenfell reports set the scene for the new Building Control and competency regimes and initiated the need for change in the industry. The session will highlight the way the Building Control industry has had to demonstrate their competency.
