From Data to Lower Risk: How Project IIRIS is Transforming Construction Insurance
Construction insurance has traditionally relied on fragmented information, but Project IIRIS is developing a new data-driven approach that could fundamentally change how project risk is assessed and priced. This session will explore how structured information, aligned with the IMI Framework, ISO 19650 and the Building Safety Act, can improve underwriting accuracy, reduce insurer risk exposure and create fairer premiums through the development of the Minimum Insurable Asset Dataset (MIAD). Led by the team behind Project IIRIS, the presentation will examine what clients, designers, contractors and insurers need to do now to prepare for a future where high-quality information management becomes a key factor in securing safer buildings and more competitive insurance.
