Tim is the Programme Manager for the AECB Standards and Certification Scheme, where he oversees the development, delivery and continual improvement of the standard, its supporting materials, software tools and the work of more than 50 certifiers. He is a recognised expert in Whole Life Carbon assessment for buildings.

Since qualifying as a Passivhaus Designer in 2012, Tim has spent over a decade modelling new build, retrofit, domestic and commercial projects in the Passive House Planning Package (PHPP). He helped develop the AECB Retrofit course and later qualified as a Retrofit Coordinator, contributing to around 90 retrofit projects across London.

Drawing on his background in research, programming and PHPP modelling, Tim began developing the AECB’s PHribbon software to help PHPP users eight years ago. He has since produced around 50 whole life carbon calculations using PHribbon and PHPP, while continuously expanding and refining the software for wider industry use through the AECB.
