As a dedicated social value consultant, she has consistently demonstrated a relentless commitment to breaking down barriers and inspiring others to prioritize social impact in their projects. In her role, she has spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at empowering individuals in need, particularly those exiting the justice system and children from deprived backgrounds. By leveraging her expertise in social value, she has successfully implemented programs that provide these marginalized groups with opportunities for meaningful employment, skill development, and community integration. One of my proudest acknowledgements is the establishment of partnerships between construction companies and organizations supporting re-entry programs for individuals leaving the justice system. Through these partnerships, she has created pathways for former offenders to access training, apprenticeships, and ultimately, sustainable employment within the construction industry. Not only does this initiative contribute to reducing recidivism rates, but it also addresses the industry's labour shortage by tapping into an often-overlooked talent pool. Furthermore, she has been instrumental in advocating for the inclusion of social value metrics in construction projects, encouraging stakeholders to prioritize community engagement, environmental sustainability, and ethical sourcing. By fostering a culture of accountability and transparency, she helped shift the paradigm towards a more holistic approach to project planning and execution. Her passion for driving positive change within the construction industry extends beyond professional obligations—it is a deeply held belief that every project presents an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
