Phil gained experience in leadership, Human Factors, and safety during a 33-year career in the RAF. As a front-line helicopter pilot, he led many demanding, high-tempo tasks while managing many diverse risks. His work with high performing teams made him fascinated by leadership and team dynamics. Later in his career Phil commanded an officer cadet squadron at the RAF College Cranwell then become the deputy commander of officer training. Phil concluded his RAF career as the Air Safety Manager for The Red Arrows aerobatic team. Phil is an advocate of human traits and humble, authentic, ‘Courageous Leadership’.
