Marsha Ramroop
Marsha Ramroop is the Executive Director of EDI at Building People. She also runs her own strategic inclusion consultancy Unheard Voice and is the former Director of Inclusion and Diversity at the Royal Institute of British Architects. Her work there was recognised with global awards.
Marsha tackles the gap between intention and action with behavioural solutions to ensure successful creation, implementation and enforcement of policies, procedures and practices to mitigate the impact of bias. She’s a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), and a Fellow and Vice Chair of the Institute of Diversity and Equality Professionals (FIEDP), and has just been appointed to the International Advisory Council of the Institute of Business Ethics.
She is currently writing The Practical Guide to Inclusion in Architecture & the Built Environment due to be published by Routledge towards the end of 2024.
Building People is a hub, aiming to create a centre for excellence in EDI in the Built Environment. We support and amplify the voice of the underrepresented in the professions, we provide insight, guidance and resources to help the professions create inclusive cultures, we lobby industry groups, and we signpost to great practice in the sector.
