Kathryn is the Director of Digital Design and Building Performance Modelling at Max Fordham LLP. With 17 years’ experience as a building services and low-carbon consultant with the practice, she has developed extensive expertise in low-energy building design. As a Project Engineer, Kathryn gained practical insights into the opportunities and challenges of implementing digital technology on projects, enhancing both design quality and delivery processes.
In her role as the Director of Digital Design, Kathryn is responsible for guiding the practice's transition to a fully digitalised environment and for developing and implementing digital tools, processes, content, and training programs. She works with the engineering and specialist design teams in the practice to improve their workflows and collaboration across projects.
Additionally, Kathryn oversees the Smart Building service, collaborating with clients to integrate smart technology into their buildings, thereby improving the user experience and the building's operations and maintenance.
