Ian is a Director at Brant Construction Quantum Experts, a consultancy specialising in construction dispute avoidance, dispute resolution and drafting Expert quantum reports. Ian joined the industry as a Quantity Surveyor and quickly worked through the ranks at both Volker Fitzpatrick and Vinci, leading commercial teams on multi-million pound projects. Working on contracts across different sectors, including; Commercial, Industrial, Schools, Housing, Rail, and Utilities, Ian is academically qualified, achieving a BSc (Hons) in Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying at Wolverhampton University and Professionally qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). In 2018 Ian was elected by the membership to serve on the CIOB’s Board of Trustees and elected to serve a second term in 2021. Throughout this time, Ian has been involved in the strategic leadership of the Institute. Ian served on National and International committees for over 15 years, serving on various governance boards, chairing the External Affairs Board and the Nominations Committee. Attending the Institute’s International Members Forums in Dublin, Doha, Hong Kong, Toronto, Sydney as well as in the UK, Ian has presented, led meetings and chaired workshop sessions.
