Geoffrey Brown

Geoffrey Brown is an Assistant Director with the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS), which will host the new national regulator for construction products. His responsibilities include the development of evidence and risk-based regulatory approaches to help ensure that construction products perform in the manner which is both intended and claimed.
Geoffrey’s career in regulation began in 1999 when he joined the Health and Safety Executive as a trainee HM Inspector. He held a series of operational, policy and strategy roles before joining OPSS in 2018 as Head of Product Enforcement. He transferred to his current role in February 2021.
