Brickwork has needed a guiding hand for many many years in order to ensure compliance with elements like The Building Safety Act, but also ensuring an industry that was growing in line with training. Eve has led this over the past 6 years in setting up the ABC Assessment Centre to provide compliant training and industry accreditation to our industry. Working with CITB and Brickwork Contractors short term courses have been done that are certified which provides training for bricklayers and associates and apprentices and college learners which everyone expects for these people to know, but actually isn’t part of the training standards. Working with CITB the ABCAC has now provided training to colleges up and down the country- which is free- to enable learners to be more employable and better trained. I don’t believe there is anyone in construction more fitting to win an award such as this.
