Bethany Collins

Support Manager, Building & Plumbing Supplies Ltd
Beth has been on the LEAP apprenticeship programme since late 2022. Since being on, she has had some inspiring personal achievements. First, she was promoted to Acting Assistant Manager from Trainee Manager and then at the end of 2023, she was promoted again, this time taking on the role of Area Support Manager, looking after two branches in Gloucestershire. Whilst studying for her management L3 she is also demonstrating the right skills and behaviours. She was first promoted after being put in a situation where she had to manage the branch alone under insane staffing circumstances and proved that she was fully capable. Using the knowledge and skills that she had been taking on board she's worked really hard on creating a high-performing yard team and has had a massive breakthrough with their part-time yard staff member where he's starting to become confident and competent. This has also allowed her to support other branches by loaning a member of her yard team to cover driving at their branches. With Beth stepping up it allowed the previous acting assistant manager to move into a sales-orientated role which was great for allowing them to work on increasing sales as a priority. At the tail end of 2023, Beth applied for and was successful in the newly formed role of Support Manager. This now sees her managing and supporting two branches. Beth's confidence, skills, and knowledge have grown over the last 12 months and she thoroughly deserves to be nominated for this award.
