Alessia is an experienced and proactive design safety and compliance leader, recognised for enabling multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant, and innovative projects. Combining architectural expertise with extensive knowledge of health and safety and building safety legislation, she ensures proportionate design and compliance risk management is embedded throughout the design process.
As Head of Design Safety & Compliance at TP Bennett, Alessia leads the practice’s approach to design safety, regulatory compliance, and professional competence. She establishes standards and governance, advises senior stakeholders on complex regulatory responsibilities, and equips project teams with the frameworks and guidance needed to manage design risk effectively. She also leads the development of TP Bennett’s designers to undertake Principal Designer duties under both the CDM Regulations and the Building Regulations confidently and above and beyond industry standards.
Alessia oversees design risk management and Principal Designer delivery across the practice’s UK portfolio, spanning along interiors and architectural projects. Passionate about developing industry capability, she mentors emerging professionals and contributes to wider discussions on design safety, competence, and best practice through her involvement with RIBA and the Architectural Technical Leads Group
