Founded by Jo Niblett, who brings more than 20 years'
experience from the utilities and construction industries, Pragmatic has grown
into an established UK-wide training provider with a reputation for practical,
industry-focused training and a straightforward approach to customer service.
Our construction training portfolio includes a wide range of
CITB-accredited courses, including SMSTS, SSSTS, Temporary Works, Health & Safety
Awareness and Environmental Awareness, alongside confined space, first aid,
manual handling, electrical and other essential health and safety training. We
deliver training for everyone from individual operatives and supervisors to
larger organisations managing the competence of their workforce.
Alongside our construction offering, we have developed
particular expertise in the utilities and infrastructure sectors. Our
specialist training includes EUSR SHEA schemes, National Water Hygiene, Safe
Control of Operations (SCO), National Grid training, Thames Water Passport and
a range of technical and safety courses supporting the gas, water, power and
telecoms industries.
Our approach is simple: training should be practical,
relevant and designed around the real challenges faced by people working in the
industry. Whether training is delivered at our training centres, at a
customer's site or online, we focus on giving delegates the knowledge and
confidence they need to put their training into practice.
Our continued growth is supported by strong industry
relationships and recognised accreditations, including CITB Approved Training
Organisation status, EUSR Approved Provider and Trainer status, City &
Guilds Approved Centre status and Achilles UVDB accreditation. In 2026, we were
particularly proud to achieve a 100% score in our Achilles UVDB B1 audit,
reinforcing our commitment to quality and robust business practices.
We are also committed to making a positive contribution
beyond training. Pragmatic is an accredited Living Wage Employer and actively
supports the communities in which we operate, including our ongoing fundraising
partnership with Myton Hospice.

continuing skills shortages, changing compliance requirements and increasing
demands for competent, safety-conscious workforces, we are proud to play our
