INCO ROBOTICS

A NEW FORCE IN CONSTRUCTION

INCO Robotics is a deliberate decision to give robotics its own platform within the built environment. Over the last decade, digital transformation has reshaped how we design and manage buildings the next shift is physical. Robotics is moving into live assets, façades, retrofit programmes and operational infrastructure, and it requires its own narrative.

INCO Robotics will introduce advanced robotic systems to the UK market within the built environment, beginning with innovation in high-performance glazing and building envelope, with a clear pipeline of additional technologies in development precision deployment, repeatability and measurable performance in live construction environments. As buildings become more technically complex and performance-led, the way we upgrade, treat and optimise them must evolve too. INCO Robotics exists to bring that evolution into the sector - thoughtfully, credibly and at scale.

INCO ROBOTICS brings WAVETHRU, the revolutionary glass technology from Wave by AGC, to the UK market.

This passive technology targets one of the major causes of poor indoor mobile signal in modern buildings: the signal-blocking effect of energy-efficient glazing.

As buildings have become more thermally efficient, metallic coatings within high-performance glass now block up to 99% of mobile radio signals.

The WAVETHRU solution is fundamentally different : near to invisible - sustainable -maintenance-free - a one & done solution - no ongoing energy consumption - no ongoing contracts and massively saving on costs.

WAVETHRU is a breakthrough, passive technology that targets one of the major causes of poor indoor mobile signal in modern buildings: the signal-blocking effect of energy-efficient glazing.

As buildings have become more thermally efficient, metallic coatings within high-performance glass now block up to 99% of mobile radio signals. Existing solutions such as Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) or repeaters attempt to compensate after the fact, but are expensive, energy-hungry, visually intrusive, operator-dependent, and require ongoing maintenance.

WAVETHRU is fundamentally different. It addresses the problem at source by transforming the glazing itself into part of the connectivity solution. It is the first of a new generation of connectivity solutions from Wave by AGC, the brand from global glass leader AGC dedicated to solving in-building connectivity challenges. This technology is brought to the UK through a strategic partnership with INCO ROBOTICS LIMITED, uniting cutting-edge R&D with specialised market integration. WAVETHRU uses an ultra-precise laser treatment to microscopically etch the metal coating within existing glazing. The process is non-invasive and engineered to preserve the glass’s core properties. It fully maintains structural integrity, while leaving thermal performance, solar control, and aesthetics virtually unchanged. WAVETHRU creates a new category of connectivity infrastructure: near to invisible, sustainable, maintenance-free, One and done solution, no ongoing energy consumption, no ongoing contracts and massively saving on costs.

The laser pattern, around 30 microns wide and invisible to the naked eye, allows mobile frequencies to pass through the glass. The result is a one-time, on-site treatment that improves indoor mobile signal strength by up to 25 dB across all frequencies below 6GHz. It works with all operators and technologies, including 4G, 5G, and emergency networks, and is future-ready without upgrades.

An innovation that enhances building performance, user experience, and long-term asset value across residential, commercial, healthcare, heritage, and public-sector environments.
