The addition of a machine strength grader is a game changer

The Vudlande Sawmill has recently invested in the last piece of strength grading puzzle; an optical laser interferometer machine strength grading unit, or sonic grader as it were. This strength grading unit has been added to the already existing array of scanning technology used in Vudlande's three year old ultra modern planing mill. Now all strength graded production at Vudlande will not only be visually graded using multiple vision and laser scanners, both before and after planing, but also by both the existing X-RAY scanning technology and the newly installed sonic machine strength grader that was added in September 2022. This enables Vudlande to offer not only a complete range of accredited strength graded products to numerous world markets, but for the UK market in particular, it not only means the addition of the TR-26 truss material product line to their existing portfolio, it also makes Vudlande's "X-RAY Blue" BS 5534 roofing batten, the only BS 5534 roofing batten to be produced on a fully accredited machine strength grading production line!
