Bringing luxury to life for a leading UK housebuilder

30 Aug 2022
We work closely with a leading UK housebuilder, operating from 23 regional offices across the UK, with each region managing their own marketing and operational procurement budgets.

Our product offering:

Cubiquity offer a bespoke gifting solution that is popular amongst housebuilders. They use our solution to gift their new customers with a welcome pack when they first move into their new homes. It enables them to create inspired experiences and build more rewarding relationships with their customers. We make this easy for our clients, by reducing admin and personal expenses by ordering from their own branded online portal.

Cubiquity Online

Cubiquity first introduced their dedicated online portal in 2009, whilst the leading UK housebuilder was undertaking a comprehensive review and rebrand of their operational and marketing collateral.

When implemented across all the regions, their central marketing team was instantly rewarded with a consolidated print spend, superior processes, and more consistent, brand compliant communications.

A better experience all round - for both the business and it's customers.

The portal also allows for non-print related products to be added to the catalogue, and for the customer to have a single access point for ordering products.

The project objectives

Prior to the implementation of their online portal, many of this housebuilder's regions were ordering gifting products from a wide range of suppliers, sometimes using personal credit cards and claiming the expenses back, at other times not ordering products at all.

This inconsistent approach came to light across their social media channels, with customers sharing pictures of a wide range of gifts or complaining that they had received nothing at all.

The project measurables

Cubiquity was asked to provide solutions to the following challenges:
• A consistent gifting approach across all regions
• Bronze, silver, and gold gift options based on the different house values
• Comprehensive cost control and audit trail
• Group spend leverage
• Reduced admin through consolidated monthly invoices
• Product quality and safety compliance

The project processes

Cubiquity sourced and engaged a selection of the UK’s best known luxury retail brands in order to present a varied portfolio of stylish gifts that added value to the company’s brand. The final offering ranged from home scent products such as candles and diffusers from Jo Malone and The White Company to luxury food hampers
from Cartwright and Butler.

The project outcomes

With a simple selection and ordering process in place via the portal, and a wide range of gifting options available at less than high street RRP prices, this leading housebuilder was able to manage individual regional spends much more efficiently and consistently. This approach has also enhanced the value of their brand in the eyes of their customers, especially across the social media channels.

A sustainable future

Cubiquity has recently added nature packs to their offering to assist this company in achieving their group sustainability targets.

The Nature Packs include bird boxes and feeders, insect hotels, wildflower seeds, and a range of natural beeswax-based products.

Over 1,000 nature packs were delivered in the first month alone and the response from their customers has been overwhelmingly positive.
