Build-by-wire: A future vision for BIM, DfMA and IoT Technologies

07 Oct 2020
Digital Construction Hub
The mission of this seminar is to present the synergies between BIM, DFMA and IoT technologies within the construction and built environment sectors. My industry experience specialises in DFMA and BIM systems, providing file-to-factory solutions for various commercial project executions. Our business niche is within the Marine, Residential and Hospitality sectors, and has been integral with ensuring construction practices whilst utilising the latest in Geospatial, Predictive Maintenance, Digital-twin and BIM platforms. As well as providing an insight into DFMA and additive manufacturing, we will explore the full data capture process in addition to maintaining the as-built information for the life of the building or asset. This includes the question on Generative Design and how we potentially see a future of computational architecture. We aim to provide an influence of innovation and vision to the next generation of design, construction and built environment management
