The CSCS Alliance is the collective voice of the 38 card schemes displaying the CSCS logo, representing not just the traditional construction trades but the many specialist occupations across the built environment. This session will introduce the role of the CSCS Alliance and the positive impact it is having on improving standards, safety and competence across the industry as well as helping construction to develop insight in support of the current and future workforce. It will also focus on achievements so far, which include the development of the CSCS Smart Check app. For the first time, CSCS Smart Check allows all 2.1 million cards displaying the CSCS logo to be verified using a single app. The session will go on to look ahead to what the future holds for the Alliance, in particular the implementation of the Building Safety Act and helping to ensure greater collaboration, improved visibility and sharing best practice across the industry, primarily around the verification of individuals’ training and qualifications. Introductions will be led by CSCS Alliance Chair Jay Parmar, followed by a presentation from CSCS Chief Executive Sean Kearns and a Q&A.
