WHAT DO THE CHANGES TO APPROVED DOCUMENT L MEAN IN TIMBER FRAME?
05 Oct 2022
CPD Hub
Current and well established designs for timber frame buildings achieve good thermal performance and air tightness with the benefits of speed and quality that offsite construction can offer. With introduction of the 2022 version of Approved Document L, further emphasis has been placed on continuity of insulation, improved air tightness and reduction of thermal bridging. These changes bring with them new challenges and opportunities for timber frame. The aim of this session is to discuss the changes in Approved Document L and where these changes pose challenges or offer opportunities for timber frame.
