08–10 OCTOBER 2019 | NEC | BIRMINGHAM Seminar Programme 2019
UK Timber Regulations Workshop
The Office for Product Safety & Standards is responsible for enforcing Timber Regulation 995/2010 in the UK. To assist businesses to comply with this legislation after the UK leaves the EU, they will be delivering a series of information sessions to explain basic due diligence obligations under the UK Timber Regulations.
The regulation requires those businesses (operators) first placing a timber product on the market in the UK to complete due diligence that concludes negligible risk of illegally harvested timber entering the supply chain. This includes carrying out a risk assessment and where appropriate completing mitigating measures that reduce any identified risk to negligible.
These sessions will be targeted at businesses who import timber products from the European Union, who are not currently required to undertake due diligence, but who following EU Exit may be required to comply with these regulations. Following the presentation, there will be a question and answer session.
Seats are limited to 20 people per session, so please book your sear to avoid disappointment.
