The Biosite System – how we approach access control
Knowing which access control or workforce management system to choose can be a challenge – what technology is the best? Do you go with biometric or non-biometric? Does it have to be a non-contact system? Will this system work on the layout of my site? What if I have different types of site?

The Biosite System is unique and our approach to access control is founded on our innovative software that has been developed to be consistent, irrespective of the type of technology or mechanism used to capture workforce data. Because of this, we have been able to adopt the latest hardware technology over the years as it develops and integrate it with our system, as part of an effective collaboration between our in-house software and hardware teams. Cards, fingerprint, mobile devices, facial recognition. It is all just hardware. The Biosite software does all the hard work.

We developed the Biosite data workflow more than 10 years ago and it remains the same – because it works. And at its heart is data integrity, accuracy and security. It means that any type of hardware used on site simply acts as a mechanism to capture quality data – consistently. All data captured – on any type of device – is channelled through the Biosite workflow to the Biosite software portal – a cloud-based platform where our customers can view real-time data to improve efficiency, safety and compliance. Because our system doesn’t store data on the data capture device (instead using a secure server) it also means data can be viewed not just at an individual site level – something we come across regularly with alternative systems – but across all sites, at a group level. This is because we see the value in establishing a holistic overview of all workforce data – as silos of data without visibility across sites may not provide a complete picture or insight into potential issues.

Having in-house hardware and software development – not to mention our own installation, service and support teams – also enables us to adapt and respond as technology inevitably advances, to provide our customers with the best possible experience.

So, actually, it doesn’t matter what type of access control system you choose from us – that’s down to personal preference and business needs and we can tailor a solution that’s right for you. Every Biosite system delivers the same performance benefits and data integrity, accuracy and security. You might need a non-contact biometric solution to adhere to your company guidelines, or a flexible mobile system for linear or remote sites. It might be one system or it might be a combination. We appreciate each site is different and there is no ‘one size fits all’ in construction, which is why we work collaboratively with you to understand your particular challenges and tailor a solution that’s right for you. That’s The Biosite System.
