Need an architect but not sure how to find one?

28 May 2019

Hiring an architect is one of the best investments that you can make. But how can you find one that is right for your project?

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has launched a new Find an Architect service this week. Easy to use, it features more than 3,700 RIBA-accredited Chartered Practices, and over 41,000 inspiring project examples. It’s also free of charge. [ ]

Once you’ve entered a few details about your project brief, your budget and what you’re looking for from your architect, the service will match you (confidentially) to a maximum of fifteen RIBA-accredited Chartered Practices with the right expertise for the job.

Your project details (but not your contact details) will be shared with the practices and you will hear within seven working days whether they are interested in taking on your project. This will save you time when creating a shortlist and making your final selection.

Throughout the process you can compare previous experience and the projects most relevant to yours, and you’ll be supported by the RIBA team every step of the way.

All architects featured on Find an Architect are RIBA-accredited Chartered Practices, so you can be sure you’ll not only get high-quality service, but peace of mind, too.

RIBA-accredited Chartered Practices:

  • are highly skilled and professionally trained
  • work to a strict code of professional conduct
  • will lead the design, planning and construction process on your behalf
  • can apply for planning permission and help you assemble the right project team
  • will help keep your project on time and within budget
  • ensure the building is constructed to a high standard
