16 Mar 2022
Sheila Scottow
The Large Millimeter Telescope is the world’s largest single-aperture telescope in its frequency range
Project a joint venture between Mexico and the USA and has been built to further our understanding of the universe and the world around us!

The telescope is located on top of Sierra Negra, the fifth highest point in Mexico and 4,600 meters above sea level. Given the altitude the weather can prove a problem with high winds and even snow a real possibility up there. The HYPERDESMO® liquid waterproofing system was applied to the buildings to offer waterproofing and guarantee their durable performance even in the harshest weather conditions.

ALCHIMICA SOLUTIONS

With excellence resistance to cold, the HYPERDESMO® SYSTEM remains elastic even at -40 ° C but also the system holds an excellent thermal resistance, the product never turns soft with maximum service temperature at 80oC and maximum shock temperature at 200oC. In addition HYPERDESMO® holds excellent mechanical properties, high tensile and tear strength that makes it the best solution for durable projects.
