Arsenal Football Club, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur – fischer UK is not quite as traditional as these three football teams quite yet. However, for the construction of the stadiums of the first league teams, our fixing systems have proven to be an ideal solution. Our recently built projects, such as the new Tottenham Hotspurs stadium or the expansion of Manchester Airport, The Humber tunnel and The Google Offices show how important 2019 is for the UK subsidiary- and not only because of the 50th anniversary.
In the brand new, State of the art Tottenham Hotspurs stadium, cheers sound when Heung-Min Son achieves the 1:0 score against Crystal Palace in the league game. It was the first game at “New White Heart Lane”, as the new arena has been named by the Tottenham fans in tribute to the former stadium.
During the construction of the futuristic façade sub-structures made of concrete, steel and glass, the American architecture office Populous decided to use our fixing systems. fischer UK supplied Arsenal Football Club, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur. For the construction of the stadiums of the Premier League teams, our fixing systems have proven to be an ideal solution the 50th anniversary.

After the UK subsidiary was founded in a small office in Reading in 1969, we moved 30 kilometres away to Marlow after only five years. So that fischer UK could continue to expand in Great Britain, its own office complex was built in Wallingford in 1987. After regular extensions and renovations, fischer UK now operates out of this purpose built site. Innovation is traditional in Wallingford, particularly when it comes to digitalisation: In 1996, three years after the World Wide Web became available on a global scale, fischer UK drew up the website. fischer UK then became one of the first companies in Great Britain with its own website. The first mobile testing station for fixing systems in 2002 was also unique - the spiritual predecessor to our fischer TourTruck which is featuring at this year’s UKCW event to celebrate the 50th year Anniversary. Products such as the DUO line or the DIY programme ‘NO TOOLS JUST HAND’, which can be found in British DIY stores from summer 2019 are just one of many new products and services that fischer UK have brought to the marketplace this year, confirming the position of our UK business as a leader in innovation.
The anniversary year in 2019 gives us the opportunity to give something back to our customers and to the end users of our products. Throughout the year fischer UK have been providing special offers for both customer type. One example being the fischer “Golden Ticket” that is currently running, with 50 golden tickets hidden in 50 fischer product boxes that could win you an iPad.
