Dust rules and regulations

Dust has formed part of COSH 2002 & Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. HSE had major focus on Construction, Joinery and bakeries any industry creating dust within the workplace.
New laws being introduced this year, due to construction dust is not just a nuisance; it can seriously damage your health and some types can eventually even kill. Regularly breathing these dusts over a long time can therefore cause life-changing lung diseases. 
*Lung Cancer
*Silicosis
*Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
*Asthma


There are three main key things you need to do:
*Assess
*Control
*Review

HSE are planning visits throughout 2023 ensuring companies are complying with rules and regulations.
