Low Carbon Champion Awards
UK Construction Week has announced that the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership’s (LowCVP) Low Carbon Champions Awards will this year be hosted at Energy 2017. The winners will be announced during a special presentation on the evening of Wednesday 11th October, with the deadline for submissions falling on Friday 16th June. The Low Carbon Champions Awards recognise organisations that have made a real difference in the area of low carbon road transport. There are seven award categories altogether, ranging from cars to innovation, from fuels to publications. Read more here.
What does the future hold in energy?
We will focus on the pressing issues of the time which include the government’s 2050 pathways and how the industry can help to achieve these targets. Decarbonisation of energy, Electric Vehicles, tackling fuel poverty, the effects of President Trump’s energy policy and the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union will all be covered at Energy 2017, as well as the latest innovations in the energy sector. Speakers will come from the industry and from organisations such as The Carbon Trust and the Renewable Energy Association.

The Renewable Energy Association are joining forces with Energy 2017 to deliver a programme full of talks which revolve around of insightful talks which revolve around biomass, wind and solar.
