During the refurbishment the client saw the opportunity to utilize the race of the Hydro-power station to install Heacol Ltd.'s unique AquaXchange product in conjunction with a Ground Source heat pump unit to heat the property and to deliver the hot water demand for this commercial property.

The AquaXchange has been in situ since 2012 with fantastic results, even in the extreme weather in late winter 2017/2018 they were achieving SCOP above four. A return on investment has been achieved within four years.

We asked our Client how he felt about the system designed and installed by Heacol Limited he stated, “He loved Brendon’s (the Managing Director of Heacol Ltd) ‘outside the box thinking’. The AquaXchange unit Heacol Ltd designed and built for our property surpassed our expectations. Additionally, the Renewable Heat Incentive we have been receiving almost pays for the system twice over, it’s a fantastic investment aand the building is always at a comfortable temperature”.
