Office of the future
The theme running throughout UKCW is the future of construction and there are some immersive experiences on hand that can be taken straight from the show and into the office.
The Gooee IoT Theatre will bring SpaceView to show how it can deliver real-time and historical KPIs on head count, desk usage and space utilisation in the office. It will also demonstrate its Ecosystem which encompasses new features and capabilities across wireless lighting control, space analytics, energy management, plus much more. Lighting partner, Aurora, will also be at the theatre.
The Future of Construction Hub, in collaboration with Birmingham City University, will focus on digital construction, 3D printing, robotics, AI and AR and modern methods of construction.

There will be a harvest of cutting-edge products, systems and solutions on display including the Innovation Trail. Expect to try out the latest in IoT, software and communications solutions from Connection Technology Systems, Kore; Kubla, Okappy and Technology Management. Security and safety is covered by Gewiss, TLJ Security Systems and Vertemax. Vivaldi can fix up all your audio needs and Canon invites you to test out your own designs with its 3D printer. Just bring the designs along on a USB stick.
Back to school
With so much innovation in the industry it’s an extra task on top of an already busy workload to keep up to date so make sure you head to the Building Tech Live Theatre, brought to you by Voltimum and ECA, to get expert advice on topics including: cyber security for smart buildings; layering technology for safer building environments; and improving productivity and wellbeing with building management systems.
The Digital Construction Hub will also be hosting a range of sessions on successful digital projects, discussion around the ways in which embracing the latest technology will improve efficiency, as well as safety, health and wellbeing.
