On 18-20 October, the NEC Birmingham will play host to the UK’s largest gathering of construction professionals, UK Construction Week.
Consisting of nine shows – Timber Expo, Build Show, Civils Expo, Plant & Machinery Live, Energy 2016, Smart Buildings 2016, Surface & Materials Show, HVAC 2016 and Grand Designs Live (19-20 October only) – UK Construction Week will boast more than 10,000 products from over 650 exhibitors, including leading brands such as JCB, Screwfix, Wickes, Kingspan and Knauf Insulation.

#1. 100s of exclusive product launches and competitions
Visitors looking for the latest products, services and hottest deals should look no further than UK Construction Week. For those seeking the latest in hand tools, OX Group and Irwin Tools are not to be missed. Not only are OX Group launching their Mix-M8 Paddle, Sharpdraw Pencils and Ultra-flex Trowels, they’ll also be giving away free tools to the first five visitors to its stand on each day of the event. Launching its Record Quick-Adjusting Vice, Irwin Tools will also have a range of new for 2016 products on display. #3. 165+ hours of thought leading seminars
The UK Construction Week Main Stage is the focal point for seminars and debate. From panel discussions to keynote addresses, the stage commands audiences of up to 300 and will be anchored by leading journalists and industry commentators. #4. FREE Business Advice Centre
The Business Advice Centre (stand B4/2203) gives you the opportunity to speak with organisations and companies to obtain free guidance and support on a variety of topics. You will get the chance to seek personal advice on issues such as apprenticeships, customer satisfaction, BREEAM, and tax law, as well as various payroll areas from experts in their field. #5. The Material Lab Hub
The award‐winning Material Lab will curate a 118 sq.m. 'material library' at the Surface & Materials Show. Designed by Here You Are Studio, the hub will showcase the latest innovations from leading manufacturers, designers and emerging talent. The Hub will also host a series of live seminars and live making events, giving visitors a hands-on opportunity to explore and learn about the latest materials and surface innovations on display. #6. The Construction Enquirer Awards
Comedian Russell Kane and Channel Four’s architecture expert George Clarke will be hosting the Construction Enquirer Awards, at the Vox Venue next to the NEC on 18 October. Kane will take time out from his current national tour to entertain the construction crowd, while Clarke will be presenting prizes to all the Top Ten winners after more than 11,000 people voted for their industry favourites. #7. The Beer & Ale Festival
The Beer Festival & Ale Festival was a huge hit with both exhibitors and visitors alike in 2015. And no wonder. With over 30 beers on tap and a selection of hot food, live music and entertainment available, this is the perfect setting to both unwind and network with clients after a busy day on the show floor. The Beer festival was at full capacity in 2015, and promises to be the centre of festivities once more this year. #8. 7-a-side Football with Construction United
Together with Construction United, we’re delighted to be hosting the very first UKCW/CU Football Cup. The tournament will run each day between 12pm and 4pm, with daily winners scooping their very own UKCW/CU Trophy. From 7pm on 19th October, the world-renowned Genting International Casino at Resorts World Birmingham will open its doors to UK Construction Week.
